Spring is Sprung

As hard as I look on my afternoon walks I haven't been able to find any real signs of spring yet. I've seen lots of gorse in flower, but that's a mid-winter flower.

I did see some pussy-willow venturing out this pm (no rude jokes  please.)

So I fall back on the old favourite, "If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Would you believe it, edited out?

[quote user="odile"]beautiful cold, crisp and very sunny day here in East Mids. the snowy roling Leicestershire hills looked magnificent - and Gatsby, our Swiss dog- loved every minute of our long walk.

Hurray the cowslips are just coming out - they are my favourite flower.

Takes me back to Lincolnshire in the 1960s.

I love them too, Dog.  BTW, are they cultivated nowadays?  I seem to remember they nearly died out.

[quote user="LyndaandRichard"]We had the top down on the car the other day. Mainly due to a lemon tree in the back, but even so it was nice to drive in the open with the sun. Still had the air con on hot, mind.

As a French speaker - I am trying to picture you with your 'air con' !
