Loiseau
Don't forget, chaps, it's the Fete des Meres this Sunday 29 May !The checkout girl in HyperU handed me a pink rose this morning; wouldn't have happened in Tesco I'm sure. (OK, I know UK Mothers' Day is a different date - but hey, speaking as a mum, I am quite happy to have two celebrations!)Angela
idun
Lots of french supermarkets have done that for years. I don't do mother's day. Don't like it. If my kids want to say or do something nice, then they have another 362 days to do it! [Www] Such gestures would not be appreciated on my birthday or christmas day either, (no religion, but do like mid winter festivals!)
HoneySuckleDreams
362
Discounting mothers day, do they have 2 days off then? or maybe 3 if it's a leap year.
Russethouse
My guess is Birthdays and Christmas may be the other two days ?
idun
Certainly are RH. LOL makes me sound like I like doing stuff on my birthday, but I don't usually and we are not great ones for present giving either. But my birthday is an excuse to get busy me and friends to go out and I like that. And christmas, well, I think that a good old nosh up, as in a family/friends get together, in mid winter is fine.
