Sunday Driver
New update to the code de la route: Article L321-1-1 (updated by Loi n° 2007-297 of 5 mars 2007 art 24 I Journal Officiel dated 7 March 2007) The use of non type approved motorised two wheeled vehicles, tricycles or quadricycles on roads open to traffic or the general public is a contravention of the fifth class. The vehice may also be subject to confiscation, immobilisation or impounding. A class five contravention is punishable by a 1,500 euro fine. So, if you've brought your bike over to France and not yet gotten around to registering it, you could be at risk if you ride it without having obtained a certificate of conformity.
