Cassis
I love the sky in the top one, Tay. We don't seem to be so big on sunsets around here. I'm sure we must have them, but I don't have any pics to show. [:(]
Tay
Thanks Cassis. We don't seem to be blessed with many sunsets around here either, and whenever a stunning one does occur, the camera batteries die just as I have focussed.[:@] Most irksome. Jonzjob
We are so lucky with the sunsets. the sun backlights the Pyrenees Montains over 100 miles South and West of us. we get some lovely sights. These were this evening. In the mornings on the clear winter daze we get to see the snow on the mountains. It blows us away. Even when we drive into Carcassonne over the top of ne of te rises on clear days I just look at the view, sod the road, well nearly. It is magnificent. TWINKLE
I think the only thing more beautiful than a sunset - is sunrise. These were taken at 8am this morning from my bedroom window. How beautiful is that sky - it looks like it's on fire and the Black Mountains look almost purple. The second one is the same bit of sky but slightly to the right of my view. Further again to the right I could see the snow capped Pyrènées this morning. Nice way to start the day[:)]

Jonzjob
May I say that you have got the knack of this Twinks!! Big time. That sunrise is fantastic. Talk about the sky on fire? There are some wonderful photos on here and like you I haven't had a lot of chance to look at other subjects..... I don't know what happened to the shot I took of the bridge though. It's vanished from Photobucket. Doe anyone know if there is a finite amount of storage and if so what it is? Jonzjob
Why thank you WJT. That was the one that vanished, I wonder if it was because you borrowed (?) it [:D][:D]...It is a lovely place to walk. It's so peaceful. It's not far from there that they have had to cut all those lovely trees down. They were just like these. Just the other side of Trebes there is a stretch that I call the cathedral. The trees from both sides join in the middle, about 150 feet above the Canal. It's so impressive. I have a couple of photos of the trees sans leaves. I will try to find them...We really are lucky to be able to live here.

Cassis
Yup! The foreground and sky are separate pics, the foreground and sky separately colour enhanced and tweaked to make a sunset.
