Two  confused Yorkies on their first encounter with our Camping Car

The thought process seems to be:

'It's like a house, but why does the door always open on to somewhere different... ?'

William (left) and Jpeg (don't ask, it's a long story...)

Awwwww - they are so cute.  My friends used to have two yorkies, Henry & Lily.  Now they have a Rhodesian Ridgeback (Rufus) and a three legged dog which they rescued when they moved to Crete (called Raiki).  Lily wouldn't stand any nonsense from Rufus and would bit his ankles if he annoyed her.  Rufus was scared stiff of her.

Oh yes, that's exactly what I feel when I see him run...  He loves and needs that soooo much...

He  hardly seems to touch the ground, and look at that " smile" on the first pic.. ( my favourite..)

Thankyou all.  We buried Ed under the trees where the wild violets grow, a dappled spot he enjoyed a few times savouring the wintery sunshine but a place that is now forever his alone.   Today our goat arrived which eases the pain a little yet we will never forget our old Ed, but worst is that our granddaughter was so looking forward to seeing him again shortly and now he is gone forever.

We are glad he made it here even for a short time because he spent his evenings singeing himself by the open fire - a pleasure he had never known in England - plus all the interesting leftovers he so enjoyed eating, yet we could not have left him in the UK with our son & daughter as we would have missed him too much, then imagine how we would have felt had we not been close by when he passed away?   This way he will remain with us always.   Maybe in a while we will find another rescue dog who needs a family - lab or dogue de bordeaux like our Harley?  Who knows??

Big hugs of thanks all round everyone  [kiss]

Framboise, What a lovely place for him to rest.

When the time is right I am sure another doggie will find you. A friend told me this after I lost Morse last year and I told her I was never going to have another dog! And just look what happened Lewis did just find me.[:D]

Take care, hugs and best wishes to you[kiss]

Framboise, my heart goes out to you, I am so sorry to hear about your Ed. I know it doesn't help much at the moment but hopefully you can take some comfort in knowing that you gave him a wonderful life and he knew he was much loved and cared for.

here is a photo of my 'girls', Lola and Cassy - we had Cassy (the short one) since 8 weeks and she is now 5, and Lola (Lab something X) at 11m, but she was a rescue dog and had 4 previous owners before us - needless to say she was a fruitcake - Dawn took her training once a week for a year and she has turned out pretty well - she is now 4.
