Moving fotos from Yahoo to ipad

Can any kind sould please advise on the way to move fotos received on Yahoo mail onto the ipad and hence onto Facebook? I don't seem to be able to get it to work.

When I receive a photo as an attachment to an email received on my iPad, I hold my finger on the photo until a window pops up offering various possibilities, one of which is "save image". Select that, and the pic pops into your Photos file on the iPad.

I know, o wooly one, that you use a keypad clipped onto your iPad. Well, you had better try unclipping it, and just using the screen, cos that's where you need to press on the image as described above.

When I do that all I get is a blue screen and an invitation to Copy, which seems to take me nowhere, though that is not true if using Facebook itself where it behaves as you describe.

Maybe I will have to try on the laptop and then send it that way, perhaps. Seems tedious.
