Bankrupt companies

This may have nothing to do with your question, or your situation, but if the company was a builder who has done work then his assurance is still valid, even if the company has gone bust.

Just a thought for those who find themselves left high and dry.

There are lots of sites - www.infogreffe.fr

www.manageo.fr www.infobilan.fr

If they don't work they could be .com but all will give you details, some you have to pay for online on every single business registered here. You can see accounts, liquidations,AGM's the lot. An artisan is the only one who does not publish the accounts publicly. I've used these sites to check people out and for an ongoing court case found the other party to have transferred their business the week following a summons to get a new avocat as we have taken them to the court of appeal. As for insurance, it does not give that info nor will the Chambre de Metiers intervene in any litigation or judicial matters. Once bankrupt I'm afraid very little may come of any further demands or investigation etc.
