Bon d'Achat

Hi everyone

Could someone please explain how a 'bon d'achat' works - it is probably very simple but I just can't seem to get my head round it for some reason.

I have a prospectus from Geant Casino in which on a range of products the second one is "offert en bon d'achat". So what happens when you take your two items to the checkout? Am I right in thinking that you pay for both of them and get the amount of the second one as some sort of credit note to be spent another time?

Thanks in advance.

When you buy the items "en promotion",  you pay for all the goods and are given a money-off voucher, which shows whatever amount you have "earned" by buying the goods.

This voucher is to be handed over at you next visit to the supermarket.

Géant vouchers  can be used in any of their supermarkets (some supermarkets restrict the vouchers to the originating shop).

[I] Do check the "valid until" date printer on the voucher: usually only 2-3 weeks after issue.
