Suandpete
We have a private driveway which leads to our gite and our house, this drive is not visible from our house. We are considering installing a video camera so that we can see when people arrive on the drive way. This would not be able to capture images outside of our property and would not impact on the privacy of anyone inside the gite or in the garden. Is there a legal requirement in France to inform people that the area is subject to video surveillance? Thanks in advance

If the images are NOT recorded then there is no declaration to be made. Pickles
The "person" who has posted has done so solely to get the weblink on a webpage. Given that the site name has an interesting double meaning (it's to do with "criminal solicitors"), now I know that many of us hold the legal profession in general in disrepute, but I would have thought that a website listing solicitors as criminals may be sailing close to the wind ...
