Catalpa Posted August 19, 2004 Share Posted August 19, 2004 Searching for a distraction from the Eventing medals dbcle in Athens, I discovered theres an FEI Eventing World Cup stage (ie French equivalent of Chatsworth horse trials this year) at Martinvast near Cherbourg on 29th August. Sassy Posted August 20, 2004 Share Posted August 20, 2004 visited this two summers back. if you are used to gatcombe, longleat, or indeed chatsworth...it comes as a surprise how small and unassuming these competitions are. entry is negligable, trade-stands virtually non-existant, but the support and encouragement to the riders made it feel like a local show. a few brits competing as well to join for a drink. congrats to the french doing so well in athens.
