osie Posted April 28, 2010 Share Posted April 28, 2010 I am determined to find an easy way to collect mulberries without them covering the ground every day.I found some tree netting which is meant to protect against birds but wondered if this would suffice for collecting berries too..Is anybody else in this situation and have a solution... do you happen to know how tightly woven tree netting is.. would it be enough to hold a mulberry/cherry etc.cheers osie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tree netting usually has a mesh about 3 cm dia so many fruits would fall through.Any cloth spread under the tree (provided it is not so old that the lower brabches aren't on the ground- I have a friend with a 200 year old mulberry!) can have the edges/sides gently lifted each day and the fruit rolled to a unified point for collection.Grumpy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
