Opening a restaurant at home

Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any knowledge on the rules etc around opening a small restaurant in your house in France? I know that chambre d'hote owners are allowed to provide table d'hote but I can't find any guidance on whether you can do it on a very small scale without letting rooms? I've waded through articles and the web but nothing seems conclusive. We have a farmhouse in the Pyrenees and hoping to move out permanently soon. I also can't seem to straighten out the drinks licensing so if anyone has come across this I'd be so grateful!
