French Speaking Plumber in Burton on Trent

Hi

I know a French couple who are retiring to Burton on Trent (its their dream) and just wondered if any one on this forum knows of a French speaking plumber in that area. They are renovating a property and creating a gîte to live off and their English is a bit lacking.

They also would like to know if there are any French speaking doctors in Burton on Trent.

Many thanks in advance.

There was one but he got fed up with the closed minded locals that couldn't speak French, the baguettes in the petrol station mini market were pas terrible and he could not get home deliveries of Nutella and confit de canard en boîte from Auchan so he gave up and went where the streets are paved with gold for French plumbers, a choice between the Dordogne and Londres.

What a great video, who said that the French were nul at promoting tourisme?

Err, wait a minute, that would be me [:$]

No chance of my getting down to watch the tour this year sadly, they did come through my village last year though, or was it the year before? - Losing track of time.
There is no end to your talents Jonzjob.

I did not realise that you could see the mountains from Carcassonne. Very nice part of the world.
I have been called an artist numerous tomes, but that's normally when I have a glass in my hand so I'm not sure if that's a talent or not [8-)]

The Paie-a-knees are about 80 miles south of us and on clear days it looks as if you could touch them. One of my favourite views is in the car crossing the bridge over the A61, going north, by the old hospital, on a clear day you have the Cité in front of you and the mountains in the mirror. I would love to get a photo of it, but it would probably lead to an accident. It is lovely here and it was a very difficult decision to move!

I'm not sure that you can see the mountains from the Cité inself? I think it may be just a tad too low? Next timr we are there I will see if I can remember to look. But with my memory, or lack, don't hold yer breff [:-))]

Close to Carcassonne you don\'t see them from the A61. The southern banking blocks the view, but from that bridge it's just that bit higher.. Going east the Carcassonne Aire has a beautiful view of the Cité

This is it

If you catch it right you have the old and the new together. Ryanair fly almost directly over it and it makes for quite a contrast.
