Hi Jacks

Yes there are many robots which operate independantly of the filtration system although I cannot imagine why anyone would wish to do it that way as it can cost 3-4 times the cost of a good vacuum robot.

Conversly, unless there is a special reason not to use the vacuum then I would recommend this little guy as I had many, many happy owners enjoying watching his work;
