Anyone had experience of Special Needs schools in France?

We are thinking of moving to France but our son has just been diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, he will need medical support such as physio, occupational and speech therapy and will need to go to a special needs school for learning difficulties.  Does anyone have any advice they could give us, ie. do you think we are mad to contemplate it, our knowledge of french is not good!

Are there anyother families out there who have children with this syndrome in France?

With the greatest of respect, I think that learning French could be an additional difficulty that he doesn't need. If he has learning difficulties then it will be harder for him to learn French. Moreover, if you do not have a good knowledge of French, the bureaucratic side of things will be a nightmare.

If you want what's best for you son, for the time being at least, I would stay in the UK .[:)]
