Refund of charges

I was issued with my 'carte vitale' about a month ago. While waiting for it I had accumulated several refund forms for doctors appointments, prescriptions etc.

I duly filled in the forms and attached the various receipts to them. To ensure I had completed them correctly I went to the local CPAM office and asked them to check them before I submitted them. They did so and accepted them for processing.

This was all done about 3 weeks ago but I have yet to receive any refund.

Does anyone know how long I have to wait for reimbursment? I have been told that it normally takes about 5 working days, if this is so has anyone any suggestions on the best way to pursue this?

Don't fret yet. Mine take up to a month sometimes.

You should receive a statement every 2 or 3 (?) months showing all the payments made by you and reimbursed by your CPAM.

As you have access to the internet, you could check on the relevant CPAM through www.ameli.fr although you will need to request a code confidentiel first. I did that on line and it arrived by post.

My refunds take between 10 and 20 working days to arrive - the 5 day thing is just a target, not a given unfortunately.

One of my claims was dealt with whilst I sat in CPAM - still took about 8 days to hit the bank account.
