5-element
As far as I understand it, if you have savings, you can't get CMU complémentaire: understandably, you are expected to dip into your savings to increase your income to manageable levels.CMU complémentaire was designed for people who do not have the luxury of savings. frenchdc
Hi,I can't find anything that mentions savings only income. Does anyone know what the rules are?frenchdc
NormanH
From my links (have you read them?)
Pommier
So that appears to say that they count the interest on savings as income, and if you aren't getting interest on savings, then they'll assume 3% interest. That would seem to say that you can therefore apply even though you've got savings. frenchdc
EXACTLY ! can this be correct?
Chancer
As far as I know yes its correct, its the income or notional income from savings that are taken into account. Most people wont be getting a 3% return so declaring the actual return will be even better for them.I think the adding on of a notional value for being an owner occupier or having free lodging is very fair also. tinabee
I believe that "lifestyle factors" will also be taken into account, so they are likely to ask what car you drive, what your tax fonciere is, and other searching questions.
