Thank you for looking for his number and making the call, Mint.

I think that quite a few of us have noticed that Norman hasn’t been around for a few days, nice that Wooly actually posted about it. None of us wants to be intrusive, but are concerned.

Sending Norman my very best wishes and a few xx.

There still seems to be lot of confusion about the purpose of each type of mask.

This article points out which sort can now be sold to the general public by pharmacies (only those in the "better than nothing" category), and also shows the use of the different types.

Considering that the function of masks worn by the general population is to protect others, I'm surprised at the number of people I see wearing masks with a valve.

As these allow air exhaled by the wearer to vent without being filtered, they are not protecting anyone except the wearer.

I thought that using a scarf etc's goal was to protect others from us, that is what I have always heard.

They also keep saying that people who wear masks often misuse them and touch them and don't take them off properly either. Same with using gloves. And that sort of makes sense to me too.

So what will happen if we are all supposed to wear masks, will we be lulled into a false sense of security?

I haven't used anything as yet.
