Outlook Express

I hope this is easy to solve but have been unable to correct. Everytime I go into Outlook Express or send an email via Outlook, immediately it completes a task it disconnects my Broadband connection and reconnects only when I move to the next instruction or another Internet page. This has only happened in the last couple of months how do I correct?
