Heath Robinson Heating.

Recommended Posts

We have completed the first part of the legalise on our French property and will complete on the 30th November.

However, we seem to have a strange hole in the wall above cooker with a glass cover, and which apparently takes logs (of which we seem to have ten years supply)as a form of heating both to the kitchen and on the basis that hot air ovbiously ascends to the upstairs rooms. Has anyone come across this please, and how safe is it, rdgs

You are lucky with the ten years supply of wood although it does burn quickly. I have just paid 200francs for un stere(a cubic metre) for my "insert" wood burner, so ten years supply is probably worth a lot of dosh. Can't help with the heaqter though, inless it is un insert wood burning stove. Mine has a glass door and is fitted inside the chimney breast hence insert. It has a heat exchanger over which the flue gases go and a two speed fan to blow warm air into the room. Very cosy.
