Matt
Can anyone help with this? I’m trying to find a very cheap (better still free) ISP that I can dial into to do simple things like email, banking etc. I’m not wanting to spend very much time browsing and I don’t want a monthly subscription as I’m in the UK much of the time. There is no wireless point near me, but I do have a landline. So some kind of PAYG dialup ISP seems to be a good answer. Does anyone know about such a service in France or of one in UK that can be dialled from France?I already have broadband in the UK, I'm looking for this for France only. thank you

Théière
Good luck, when I was looking a lot of the companies were only running dialup for existing contracts, no new contracts. I ended up piggy backing of a friends account or using an internet cafe which is not advisable if you are doing banking stuff.

BJSLIV
This site gives a list of what's available in 2 cents per minute for dial up.http://www.ariase.com/fr/comparatifs/rtc.htmlAs M Guerche has pointed out the main players such as Orange, and Free no longer push their 56k services.
