This Week's Dog lovely Spaniel/Setter

Recommended Posts

Found and unclaimed, Niort

This is really a lovely sweet little dog something between a Spaniel/Setter.  He is just waiting their quietly, no trouble.  Just the type to be part of a happy household, if someone would only give him the chance, someone to make him smile.

Brice (not from Nice!), but very, very nice is happy to be out and still hoping to find a home.  He would be a pleasure for anyone to have, quiet, friendly, fine in the car, loves his food, a very enjoyable dog.

He looks very much like a Springer Spaniel and the vet who chipped him has put type Springer on his papers.  He thinks he is about five or six years old.

I shall try to take a photo of him outside.

What a lovely-looking dog - you must take wonderful photos, Christine.  I know most of the pictures I've taken of ours make them look the sort of dogs no-one would want.  The equivalent of my passport photo!

Hope someone out there can find a home for Brice.

And can you believe it Katie, if I hadn't intervened he would have been put down last Wednesday along with Beanz.  It breaks my heart, such a lovely little dog.  He's another special one.  I have managed to find a foster home for Beanz.

Maybe already have someone interested in Brice   [:)]  Maybe, but whoever has him will have a wonderful dog.

Keep the adoptions coming, so that I can save more.  Many thanks.   [kiss]

I think it's also that a particular dog catches your eye and you feel something for him more than the others, a sort of "coup de foudre".  Mrs. Rufford said she had been watching the posts, but had a particular pull for Brice (who by the way already wants to eat and seems quite hungry!).

The girl from Chinon has already been to see Beanz this afternoon and had a walk with him and wants to give him a home.  So we now have to get him "done".  When I asked her why Beanz out of all the dogs, she said it was his eyes.   [:)]

Christine, I'm sure your success is due to the way you post. I was looking at rescue dogs on sites fairly local to me yesterday ( UK) and none of them tugged at my heart strings the way 'your ' dogs so often do.

You have the magic touch !

I must admit that not many dogs tug on my heart from photos, but I really do like the look of this guy/

Well, Brice arrived at the Ruffords' yesterday.  He was very happy about it all, to have a wonderful home with a wonderful family with plenty of room to run around (and plenty of food, very important!).

He is now smiling (compare with the first photo on this thread), a big thank you to the Ruffords.   [:)]   [kiss]

Christine arrived with Brice yesterday afternoon and he has slotted into the family perfectly.  I saw Christine's post and wasn't really looking for a second dog and certainly not a male!  There was just something about him that we all fell in love with and after his first day here we know it was the right thing to do.  He is playful but does as he's told and gets on with our 9 year old Cleo.  We have 2 cats which fascinate him (they even stop him eating!) although they aren't interested in him.  He's had a good day with several walks, learning to play ball, digging up mole hills and having a car ride to school.

Christine deserves a huge thank you for all her rescue work, without her Brice wouldn't be here which is horrifying. If anyone's thinking of adding to their family I'm sure she'll be able to find someone suitable or keep reading the posts here and the dog for you will appear.

More wonderful news for the gorgeous Brice! As always well done Christine and the wonderful Rufford for giving him a home and such a lovely family. I think Christine is right, that definitely is a smile in the photos, what a difference. [:D]
