following on from christine's suggestion, I am kicking off this thread with a piccie of our lovely little kitties we 'adopted' last summer.

We met a couple in a car park, a fair way from each of our houses, on a boiling hot day in the summer.  I saw the thread on here, the people who found the cats on a roadside, couldn't keep them, but were obviously very attached to them.  I was looking for one cat, but thought they looked so gorgeous I couldn't resist...had kids and husband looking over my shoulder at the photo posted on the thread...lots of ooohs and aaaahs.

The couple who found them are still in contact with us and like to be updated on how they are doing.  The kitties are roughly about 8 months now, and have just been sterilised (had their stitches out today).  We all love them, they are unbelievably affectionate.....I wanted them partly to keep the rats and mice out of my storage shed...but they spend all day upstairs lounging around enjoying our new central heating (bliss!!),  and then when everyone is home in the evenings they like to wrap themselves around your neck!

There, that's my living france pet adoption story..................so far....I have been very tempted lately by a couple of those lovely looking dogs.[;-)]

Gosh, aren't they attractive? I am not surprised you found them impossible to resist.

As to Christine Animal's photos of dogs that need new homes; I have been a cat-lover all my life but the expression on Saya's face speaks volumes to me. The look on her face seems to say I know there is a loving home for me out there, I will wait patiently until I am found. I only wish I was in a position to adopt her.

Brice arrived with Christine two weeks ago and it feels like he has been here forever.  We can't believe how easily has settled in, absolutely no negative things at all, we feel so lucky.

There must be others of you who have adopted an animal through seeing pleas on here....show us your pictures...please!

It's great to have the updates and see how they are getting on.  Keep them coming please.

I still can't get over how lucky we were with Beanz, who (for those who didn't see about him in previous threads) was to be put down at Niort after being found and spending several months at the refuge.  At the last minute I managed to find Valérie who took him in foster care above Saumur.  She only had him for a week as Emilie from Chinon saw our ads and immediately went to see him and wanted to offer him a home, about a month ago now.  She is wonderful and regularly sends me news and photos.  I just received these this evenng with Beanz in his new bed.

I am really grateful to Emilie, the Ruffords, Tetley and all the others who have made all these pets so happy.

Yes - 3 cheers for Mrs Animal and all the work she does.  And those of you out there still looking for a new pet - do contact her I'm sure she'll be able to pair you up.  Better than any dating agency[:D].  A dog is for life.

Really wonderful photos! It is wonderful to see Brice and Beanz so happy, the picture of Brice curled up with Rupert's gorgeous cat is priceless.[:D] Tetley, the kittens are so adorable, can certainly understand how you couldn't resist.

I agree with the comments as well about Christine, she is an angel. [kiss]
