Tito gentil Beauceron cross

Recommended Posts

Here's Tito, another we got out of Niort in the nick of time.  He's a tall, very gentle and quiet dog with something classy about him.  He was born in May 2001.

He's also very obedient, quiet in the car, etc.  He was extremely thin, but has now put on a little weight since these photos were taken.

Thanks to the generosity of a group of Beauceron lovers who helped rescue Tito, he is now waiting for his new family and can be seen at a boarding kennels, south Deux-Sèvres.

Oh he is so cute!! I have a beauceron-ish. We don't know how much Beauceron he is as we got him from the SPA who told us that he was untrained and untrainable. He's the most wonderful dog, loyal, great with kids, so gentle, wel behaved and fun! And he's so big that I don't have to bend down to stroke him! I think that he must have had one of those horrible spikey choke chains in his previous life, because when we got him he cried whenever anyone went near his neck. 2 years later, I think he's worn a collar and lead 3 times since then (only if we're near any cars) and he's wonderful - walks perfectly to heel, or next to my hand if I tell him to without the lead. It's such a shame that people are scared of these dogs. I think clipping their ears didn't help with their image. I'm glad that's stopped - Vick's ears are lovely and floppy!

Yes, they are marvellous dogs Suzi, I know just what you mean, we have one (with clipped ears though).  Would love to see a photo of Vick (under Photography, Pets  [:)]).

I took Tito for his vaccination booster yesterday and then we went for a walk before returning to the kennels.  It was very hot, but he enjoyed it.

He would love to have someone to take him for a walk every day !

He's such a lovely looking dog, I can't believe no-one wants him - you can see his personality in his eyes.

I'd have loved to have him, but our weimaraner is obsessively jealous and hates other dogs, and as she's getting on a bit it would be cruel to make her adapt.

Hope Tito gets a good home.

  • 1 year later...

Remember Tito?  He left the Deux-Sèvres kennels last Summer for Aurore's (who already helped me out with Nénette) boarding kennels north of Paris where the Beauceron supporters have been paying for his food, neutering, etc.  He has been very well cared for and loved by all, but somehow didn't manage to find his home until now.

It was certainly worth waiting for as he has now found a dream home, "his place", where you can see he is already happy and settled after only a few days in the Allier.  The person who has adopted Tito is a real animal lover with cats, goats, a pony, a donkey, etc. and he absolutely adores Tito.

It sometimes takes time and a lot of hard work, but how wonderful to now see Tito so happy.

(the Beauceron following Tito is not a member of the family, but belongs to the girl who helped find his new home).

Top quality service!

See what beautiful condition he's in compared to the first photos.  Enjoy your new life cher Tito.   [kiss]

Christine, that is wonderful news for Tito!

I have just found out that this fellow in the photos from the SPA in Bergerac is also a Beauceron male cross. The lady at the SPA said he is very gentle, good with children and loves to play. He is two years old. The photo is not very good but you can see what a handsome face he has. He is in cage 10.
