lucky luke
For better or worse I've got some seasonal work apple picking through ANPE. In the UK I was a bit desk bound so I guess this will be a tough baptism. Anyone done/doing similar? Any tips for a novice please.CheersLL
JMB
Bend ze knees and learn as quickly as possible to discern the difference in colour between an apple that is ready to pick and one that is not and perfect the art of flicking apples off their branches with the stems intact. Once you've nailed these skills then perfect the more important one below. My father was an orchardist. I used to sneak beers to our thirsty apple pickers. They thought it was great, but boy did I get in trouble when my father caught me.So my primary suggestion is butter-up the farmers son/daughter so he/she supplies you with an abundance of food and drink.
