Albert the InfoGipsy
I'm pretty sure it's the sort of thing that varies from area to area. Your best bet is to contact the C de C and ask if you qualify.Just for interest I just tried finding something similar in my departement and came up with nothing. HoneySuckleDreams
I think part of your cotisations goes towards this. I think you can claim 600€ a year formation. My wife has just done a TEFL course in the UK and claimed back 600, and I believe it is a yearly claim (I think!) , someone else with more knowledge will be along in a bit. She was auto entrepeneur registered as well though.
quatrechats
Was your wife already teaching under the auto entrepreneur scheme before taking the TEFL course? Is the 600 euros taken off the tax you pay? Would be grateful for any more info as I would like to do this. Thank you.
HoneySuckleDreams
She was teaching before the course, about 18months I think. She only works a few hours a week though. The 600€ was paid directly into the bank account after she sent an attestation from urssaf as to how much she had paid for the formation part for 2011 , 6€ I think. YCCMB
AFAIK, and no doubt someone with more knowledge will be along in due course, all French workers, whether salaried or self employed, are entitled to additional training on an annual basis under the Droit Individuel a la Formation. However, in order to benefit, you have to have been paying social contributions, part of which are a payment towards the funding of any such training. I believe that, in the early days, autoentrepreneurs were exonerated from paying this contribution, but I understand that this is no longer the case. So, in order to benefit, if my understanding is correct (and I know a fair bit about DIF in companies, as once upon a time it was my responsibility to complete the returns to ensure that employees got their training under the scheme and that the company could get the related subsidies), I think you first have to have made some contributions. I don't know how this works for autoentrepreneurs, but I assume that if you haven't made any contributions before you do the training, then you almost certainly will have to afterwards. It'll just get added to your social charges bill.I've just Googled and found this:http://droit-finances.commentcamarche.net/faq/7461-formation-professionnelle-des-auto-entrepreneurs
