Hi,

I would like to put a wooden pergola on the side of the house approx 5m x 3m.  Will this need any sort of planning permission?............If the answer is yes, what can I do to to avoid this or is this impossible?.........or does it vary from district to district?

Thanks

We are planning the same type of thing, so before xmas we paid our local Maire a visit, they were very helpful, we were told after much seaching through paperwork that provided it had no roof it was ok.

So I would suggest you visit your local Mairie and ask.
