Ah! The Greengage one is the one you use for three phase. Connect between the Greengage and the Redcurrent and you have 220 volts: or the Blackcurrent and the Greengage and voila ! You have another 220 volts.

Alternatively, you connect the Redcurrent one and the Blackcurrent one together and then you have 440 volts between the two connected together and the Greengage one.

Simple when you know how.

(P.S. I do know what I'm on about believe me, as I did a government retraining course for three days, as I couldn't get no work down Harlow.)
How can I tell which colour the current is when all I have is the copper wire?
Simple!

Connect all three together (using, of course UK junction boxes, natch: they are far better than the Froggie ones and cheaper too if you buy them in B & Q before you come over) and if you have a loud bang..................

It's all the fault of the rubbish French mains!

Why can't they do things proper like we used to in Harlow?

Thanks for all the tips. [:)]

The bell wire sound like the stuff I want.

Can I rewire with it myself or do I need an electrician?

My budget is limited but if I postpone the house insurance for another year, I can do it myself. I'm a fast learner [:)]
