le rouge Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 I am going to re-roof a 'bucher' i.e. woodshed and am thinking of replacing the corrugated iron with bac acier. How easy is it to work with and how do you cut it as it comes in 3m lengths and one side needs max of 2m? Is it heavy to transport? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Chancer Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Its quite light especially the cheaper thinner gauges sold in the Brico-sheds, so light in fact that you will need to support it well whilst transporting or it may buckle in the wind, not such a problem with several sheets nested together.Easiest way to cut it is with an angle grinder and a thin cutting disc, the ones sold for stainles steel are sometimes less than 1mm so are ideal.
