seasoned wood

Anyone know where I can buy some seasoned timber in the ` 24 ` department, preferably around the Riberac area?

The usual bricolages do not sell any and there are not any large bricontes locally.

I'm not sure what 'bricontes' are, so apologies if I'm stating the obvious, but have you tried a local wood yard? That's where we would go for seasoned timber.

or a saw mill is Pigearias 24300 La Chapelle Montmoreau (This is the main road from Brantome to Nontron, but he is closed Friday pm)

You may struggle to find one thats open for the next few weeks though, the yard I use here in 23 closed last Friday for four weeks.

Bricontes are known in France for second hand or reclaimed building materials. A wood yard such as PointP and Rouseau Pro sell stock timber to the building trade.

My search for seasoned timber relies on finding a briconte in my area ` 24 `

If all fails I may have to travel further, such as Perigueux or Bergerac.

Thanks, I didn't know that but they are the sort of places we use, as well as wood yards where they cut it as you want (even off the tree trunk!) - not Point P etc.

             I have made a note of both woodyards and the nearest one is at Pigearias, as I am located near St Aulaye.
