gas costs

Hi everyone

Following on from my post regarding gas tank installations, does anyone know what the prices are for gas please? Have found some info on installations, but no prices! looking to compare with electric heating/air conditioning.

Prices from Antargaz, as of today

1,959.10 Euro per Tonne plus Tax

Bear in mind that the first 25% stays in the tank as reserve and you can only fill up to 85% full so for a 1 Tonne Capacity Tank the most you can normally top up is 600kgs. With Antargaz you can opt for them topping up the tank when they are local but the amount per month they want by direct debit IMHO is well over the top, meaning they are always in pocket by a mile

I meant to reply before but didn't sorry.

My experience is that gas used to be quite cheap a few years back, less that €1 per kilo.  The prce has steadily gone up to the levels quoted above and the central heating uses a LOT even though I have a new efficient boiler.  I try to use the gas for hot water only and use wood burners for heating (except sometimes use the CH to take the chill off in the depths of winter).    Would I install gas heating? Never!

What is the cost of town gas?

And also a conversion factor be it from KG to KWH or M3 whatever is used, I want to know how expensive bulk LPG is compared to town gas, also how expensive bottled LPG is.
