  1. Anyone know if Brico Depot deliver?  Can't see anything mentioned about it in their catalogue or website.  Cheers
  2. Thank you everyone for your helpful replies.
  3. We have a new build (finished 10 months ago) and the house is grey block with "Kingspan" type insulation on the roof and walls and finished with plasterboard - therefore I assume no cavity.  Recently we have been troubled by a terrible scratching sound coming from our bedroom walls - if you put your ear to the wall it sounds as though the creature is munching!  We think the only place anything could get into the house would be via the roof tiles but how would they be getting into the wall itself?  We purchased some mouse and rat traps and put them around the outside of the house and placed some poison in dishes aswell but because we don't actualy have a roof space over this part of the house (the beams go right up to the roof itself) it is difficult to know where else to place them.  So far we have caught nothing but the awful noise continues.  Is it likely to be a mouse or a rat?  We have quite a few lizards in the garden but not sure if they are classed as pests?  Any advice would be much appreciated.
  4. I too am so sorry to hear of your experience Monika.  A friend of ours had a similar experience although they were only out for the day when their burglary took place.  The insurance company threw out their claim stating that because the shed was made in England it was "obviously not up to the job".   When my friend pointed out that not only had she bought it in France (producing the receipt) but that they had purchased a very substantial locking mechanism too.  The insurance company still refused to pay!!
  5. Thanks both for your helpful and prompt replies.  All systems go now!  Cheers
  6. We have a few small concreting jobs which we ae able to do ourselves but are not sure how we go about buying the sand!!  Obviously in the UK the builder's merchant pops along with one of those large canvas bags and dumps it on your drive but I have never seen anything similar in France.  Can we go to the local builder's merchant and get them to deliver one or does it come loose?  We do have a transit so if it is available in bags we could bring it back ourselves.  Assume that cement is available in the paper sacks as per UK? Thanks all.
