[8-|] Agrred the horseflys are biting well , i got tagged again the other night whist getting some photos of a murder of crows , blistered and statred to weep within 12 hrs , applied some after bite ( amonia based ) but twas still weeping so popped it a reakl good squzze and tried to get all the gunky liquid owt !!! , certainly stopped the redness spreading and the lump in thee middle has gone [:D][:D] , prob get a little scar but tis better than thee itchiness of joy .. [8-|][8-|] Tip for thee wise , for years whilst fishing been using an avon product called skin so soft in woodland , indeed keeps thee midgis and tother biters off thee !!! http://avonshop.co.uk/shop/product.asp?pf_id=4982 , used deet jungle formula and a few tothers but nowt is as good as thee avon stuff .Whilst walking the banks of the river hull ( a perticular bad area for horseflys ) , i applied the avon and my mate applied the jungle formula , as we were talking of the merits of each  a horsefly popped up and bit him on the hand !!! he could not get into my lure bag quick enought to get the  avon  [;-)][;-)] [:)] Tis that good even thee royal marines use it http://www.wyrdology.com/edinburgh/midges/avon.html Also anything with deet in it hates plastic and melts it quick sticks no such probs twith the avon , well worth tagging a few bottles i never go fishing twithout it [:D]
  3. What species of horse flys inhabit thee Deux Sevres region ........?????   After many bites of joy of this happy go bitey bast of ard , i would love to know if its tagged a good hold in my dream area ??? Help Many thanks for responces ........

Indeed always had a love and a good eye for nature , i watched barn owls swooping over thee yorkshire rivers searching for prey as thee mist rises as dusk arrives breath taking indeed , watched pike spawn and later in the year take grassers and voles of thee top, pine marins in scotland  momments i will always treasure , but alas still in thee land of BOSH ,popping 40k on thee clock a year 60 hours a week and working my asssse of to pay thee men in black ( vat and tax ( they love me to bits face)) , not much do i miss when im owt . Only thing that blows my stack is wasps and hornets , pppppppphhhhhhhhhh no use in thee world for them .......!!!!   Nice web site ;)

Indeed had thee joys of watching  a grass snake swim across a lake i was fishing last week near bressuire a pleasure to watch ..   [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/pikeykosh/IMG_4366.jpg[/IMG]   Did try to tail it but twas fast as hell . Is it me or does your mind and eyes open to the wonders of nature once in  france ??

Hi all , thinking of moving to the poitou charentes area , whilst viewing a few properties on our last visit , i notised some movement in the lake and was surprised to see a snake about a meter long gunning across the water . i managed to get a few pictures of it.   [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/pikeykosh/badhead.jpg[/IMG]   What type of snake do you think it is ?.
