  1. smiley, just to let you know that my friend tells me that the lessons are only during the summer months (I don't know why this is) and are near Nueil les Aubiers (not sure if i spelled that correctly). She is not certain what date they are going to resume or if indeed they will resume but has promised to let me know. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but good luck! Anita
  2. Smiley I have some friends living near to Bressuire, I'm sure they have told me that they have found some-one who was giving private lessons on a 'small group' scale and very cheap too as I recall. I will be in touch with them some time next week so if you keep checking back here, hopefully I will be able to give you more details. Regards
  3. Smiley, stick with the Michel Thomas it is the best language 'self learning' course there is. I have tried and tested many, After Michel Thomas Foundation the Hugo course beginners will fill in the missing gaps and Helena Lewis 'vocabulary' (in keeping with the MT method)to a point, but of course it is only my personal opinion, others may disgree. Which Michel Thomas course are you using? By the way...where in North Deux-Sevres are you?
  4. carnige, just seen your post, do you still want any info? I can give you a contact here in the UK , they will deliver to France. Where is dept 36 incidentally?
  5. It lays down the foundations & structure for the correct use of the french language and verbs (advanced) but can be followed up with the Michel Thomas method 'French Vocabulary Course' by Helene Lewis or any other 'Language Builder'. The foundation course however is an excellent starting point and cheap compared to Rosetta Stone Anita
  6. I have read a review somewhere magic that it is extremely overpriced for what you get. I was considering it myself until I saw this review. Have you considered the Michel Thomas method? Personally, I found this brilliant! Anita
  7. That's interesting Coco, we had new dormer windows fitted in our granary last month which were not a replacement and our builder charged us 5.5%. Maybe the difference was that yours was an extension and our wasn't...I'm not sure..
  8. No need to apologise sweet 17, as I mentioned my written french is....well er...not good at all. But thanks anyway for the correction.
  9. Yes.. nous n'avon pas...sorry but my written french is somewhat non-existant  but I can now see where the word 'demuni' figures. Thanks Claire
  10. I was always of the belief that to say.....  We have not..... is.... noun avon pas but yet a couple of internet linked translations have come up with the word  demuni. Could someone shed some more light on this? Thanks
