Hi Danny,  Thanks for your reply.  We do still have an FT line.  I did as you suggested and the phone light on the box does blink.  Your link was very useful and yes my box is a Sagem.  On our last phone bill, we were still charged for calls but we had only had the alice box for a couple of weeks so maybe the next phone bill will show us just paying for the line only.  I'll keep you posted. I subscribed to Alice with supposedly free telephone calls, unfortunately, I'm so thick and don't understand the french instructions how to get the free calls.  Can you help me? Jan.
