Only last week I did what was probably my last journey on the Norman Spirit, as it is being robbed from the Portsmouth route. I shall miss her.[:(]

90€ poorer but wiser about unmarked police bike on D958
Maricopa replied to just john 's topic in Driving in France
barely noticed the black bike and rider in black helmet and leathers pull out and follow me. About 10k further on he was joined by a police bike who then switched on the lights and pulled me over,.
I think that perhaps WB and baypond should re-read the OP.[geek] -
BBC iplayer in France
Maricopa replied to tegwini's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
There in lies the joke, which French artists produce anything remotely worth downloading.
Renan Luce, Gregoire, Christophe Mae, Indochine to name but a few! But each to their own. -
I don't know where you heard this, but I can see no reason why you would need to renew a one off business registration. I certainly don't intend to do so, having just looked at my Extrait K.

On Wednesday I drove right down through France for the first time with my badge in place, what an absolute joy. Having just bought a vehicle with manual windows, it saved me a lot of winding! Incidentally Mel, I had lunch in Loches. Restaurant called La Farfalla, very good friendly service with excellent value food. Recommended.

Do I need a new Sky card?
Maricopa replied to nectarine's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
When I started getting the on screen warning message, I simply took out the card, and the only thing I lost was Sky 3, with Channel 5 being on 105 as usual. Maybe I was just lucky? -
That's more like saying "starting now" ("as soon as now") Maricopa, than "from now on".
Thanks 5-E, that's that cleared up[:D]

Can you not also say dès maintenant?

Now that the server seems to have stabilised, one pleasant new thing about the software is after that having opened a topic from the Active Topics page, and using the back button to return to the listing, I now find the Active Topics listing automatically refreshed.[geek]
Thank you Paul and Virginia for replying to my post. I have tried to reply via the email shortcut on your emails but I received a mail delivery failure report!
They may have sent you a Private Message (PM), and you possibly tried to reply to the e-mail notification of the PM (which isn't possible). PM's are accessed from the Forum Homepage when logged in.
I'm not sure my new one is that small, but it isn't big either - nothing to gauge it by....
I'd say mine is about the size of a cigarette packet, if it helps? Just thought it was going to be a bit bigger then that.
In the uk freehold means you own the land and leasehold is a 999 year lease but in france the house is owned by a family so they have a freehold because family generations live in the same house but in the uk you have to sell the house when you die, to pay capital gains tax
[8-)] And it wasn't even late at night[:D]

SFR Messagerie - Publicity
Maricopa replied to Gardian's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
I haven't noticed it on my SFR messagerie. -
Ours has one, have not removed it, and it has been fine for nearly three years.

I am booked on to Norman spirit in just over a week, and am pleased to see it is still running then. However, I note our christmas booking (which was Norman Spirit) will now probably be the Cote d'Albatre. I hope that I have got in early enough with the cabin booking to not be bumped off. Having said that, the CdA looks a very nice ship, and has to be better than the awful Norman Voyager.
On 1 Jan 2008 I walked into the local Tresor Publique, all ........ If not, where do I go to get this moving?
You need to go to "L'Hotel des Impots", which is almost certainly in another town from the Tresor Publique.
