1. Has anyone been able to locate a spares supplier with reasonable prices. The traction belts seem to have sretched beyond their elastic limit and keep pulling the little black rubber flaps off. The foam rollers self destruct and at 28 E they're not cheap. The filter bag also doesn't seem to be that efficient either. Would I buy another ..... Computer says "No" but I'm stuck with it
2. Has anyone used ties to secure new stone work to a Hollow Pot block inner wall. I'm thinking that stainless would be ideal .   Chris E
3. Thanks for the feedback The plastic shower tray fits under the floof tiles.  My original tiler used traditional cement and grout.   No good !! There is a degree of flexibility with the shower tray so, on advice from "Chapeau" (tile merchant) in Saintes  I siliconed  the tiles down.  They also sold me a grout which whilst damp resistant, certainly wasn't waterproof and finished up as a pasty mess. The manufacturer was" Devres" or something like that. Now I obviously need a flexible grout. That's easy to clean off and waterproof  I've looked at the Mapei web site and it's not immediately apparent which of their products to use.   Maybe a tadge more reseaarch into the Screwfix catalogue is needed   LOA
4.  I need some flexible waterproof grout in beige. I need to grout tiles that are mounted on an under floor tile plastic shower tray.  The tiles are held down with silicone but I'm having real trouble sourcing the right grout after various recommended solutions,  I've now used silicone but, as I thought it would be, it's impossible to clean off. Any ideas ? LOA
5. What should the level of sand be ? At the moment it looks about 30 cm below the top of the rose.  What cost are we talking about to change to Zeolite and where's the best place to get it from ChrisE
6.
Sorry, just re-read that and did it properly??? I take it that it is sand and not Zeolite? Sorry Jon it's only sand, but I did wonder about the level
7. The pool is 6 x12 (salt) with a 2 meter deep end, built two seasons ago. Volume 125 m3,   The filter is an Astra 99 with a flow capacity of 22m3/hr.  Valve gear is Astral pools also   The jets appear to be jetting and the skimmers and sump sucking.  I hoover it and backwash regulary .  Ph, clorine and salt levels are good.    I've used floculant and bought a robot The water still stays cloudy.    The sand appears to be 30cm below the top of the rose After a couple of days rain when I didn't hoover.  The water was clear and the floor dirty, on hoovering there was junk coming through the jets and made the water cloudy.  So I'm guessing filter but quite what I haven't a clue as there is no documentaion with the pool. Any suggestions   ChrisE

Has anyone got a cure for septoria ?  This shows as brown spots on the leaf,  the lead then turns yellow and falls.  The plants are in tubs so there should not be anything left over from last year.   I thought perhaps the trusty old Bordeaux mixture may be of use. Any sugestions

12. So I guess the obvious solutions are either start a business that breaks even,  no profit , no contributions. or sign on.. As  the French system need qualifications I'm wondering what my chances are  of finding employment as  an economist and business studied lecturer. No that's too simple, they must have thought of this ?
