1. "Baumgartner said he didn't only do the stunt to set a record. He also did it for science, as the jump could help NASA design better and stronger spacesuits for astronauts. Doctors said the data from Baumgartner's jump will "break new ground." http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/felix-baumgartner-daredevils-supersonic-leap-breaks-records/story?id=17465225

5. When Janet left Spirou came to us and he is now neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated plus rabies and passport. He really is a little charmer, both full of life and fun and quiet and well behaved.  When given a treat, he takes it so gently, he really is a sweet little dog.  If he is lucky enough to find a loving home he will come with his dumbbell that Janet offered him.  He absolutely loves it and takes it into his bed, then after a game outdoors when he comes back inside he rushes to get it to bring it to you with a big smile.  He's really lovely!

9. What about this one and in Spain!  It's Hollywood for the homeless.  The cat outside area is paradise and the dogs look so happy and bright, not frightened or traumatised, especially when they are let out for a run at the end of the film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is78xRFutbQ
10. Live stream now over.  Didn't care anyway, but glad to see you're back !   [geek]
11. Nice story.  Well done Sue.   [:)]
12. What's happened to Norman, he's gone all up one side?  Did the barrel roll into something?  Frchmt.
13. No I didn't mean will you be adopting him.  I know you've already adopted him and vice versa!  So now you may be able to foster one.   [8-|] "When you faced with a home without one and then you start to think of all those animals in the SPA with no homes and no nice fire place to sit in front of you realise your own heart break is not as sad as the broken heart of a dog with no home."   Excellent Pads, that is so very well said. I have a broken heart having just lost two of our oldies.  But last weekend I got a "very oldie" out of Niort and this week shall be returning for another little pretty, dainty, elderly Cocker who was pleading.  She cannot be left there. Marlow (who came home on Sunday) is nearly at the end of his little life, but we'll try to make him happy for what he has left.  He's been sleeping a lot since he arrived.  The stress and trauma drops and they start to relax and recover once out of those places.
14.
Christine, how can I resist your plea to "keep em coming"? So...here goes: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2187622/New-leash-life-puppy-fell-floors-losing-legs-learns-walk-like-HUMAN.html Perhaps they should enter him for the paralympics?
Two more here http://news.yahoo.com/video/two-legged-dogs-inspiration-others-035400404.html
15. Each shelter has its own adoption contract and methods.  Perhaps you could let them know at the shelter where you intend to adopt and see whether they accept that or not.  Thank you for thinking of saving a dog from a shelter. I just see you are in Maine et Loire.  If the local shelter refuses you could try an association I know well there who rescue many dogs and have them in foster care.  Maybe they would agree to it once they have met you here.  We would have to see.  Let me know if you have a problem.
16. Double post, forum's playing up.
17.
This one is specially for Christine! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2186373/Pictured-The-heart-melting-moment-man-lulls-arthritic-dog-sleep-lake.html
Update  [:)] http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/dog-photo-schoep-arthritic-lake-180953849.html Because of the public's generosity, Schoep has been getting expensive joint laser treatments to reduce pain and swelling related to arthritis. "He's walking so much faster," the 49-year-old Unger said. "It's unbelievable."
18. I know what you mean John, it's terrible.  Hope Celé stays with you for a while yet. But I didn't mean you, I meant Pads!
19. It is a nice photo and great countryside for walkies, beautiful. So when are you going to foster a dog then?
20. Stop making trifles and try some spirulina.  Have a google on it!   [:D]  I ordered mine from a spirulina farm in France. http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-spirulina.html

23. Lovely photos John.  Thank you for posting them. Doggy certainly looks settled and they go so well together, perfect colour scheme.  Very nice, makes me feel good.   [:)]
24. Did you see this as well with Madame Auger presenting the refuge with all its new installations ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zO-pklrEUs&feature=fvwrel
25. So many think French shelters are such miserable places.  I have already mentioned on here before the wonderful refuge of Morée (41) and have just seen this little film on it.  They rescue so many dogs and cats from all over and take such good care of them before being rehomed, they really are an example. SPA Morée    On the before and after photos of those adopted there is even Harley/Charley, the Dogue de Bordeaux who found his new home through this forum thanks to Framboise.   [:)]   When she went there she said how impressed she was. http://services.completefrance.com/forums/completefrance/cs/forums/1207304/ShowPost.aspx
