1.
Hi I've just had a woodburning Rayburn installed (to replace the lovely wood burning stove that went up in smoke after a week of being here!!!). I'm just getting to the point when I shall have to th...
Which words or abbreviations would you like to have translated?
2. Good Morning, How come that everytime I ask the Recent Topics button to show me postings either 'since your last visit' or from 'last 24 hours' it never shows me anything like the actual number of postings. With last 24 hours, it only ever starts with postings from today and it can't cope at all with postings since my last visit. Christiane
3. First of all, I think that this whole affair is utterly scandalous and it made me very, very angry. However, there is a bit of misinformation. Canelle was the last indiginous Pyreneean female, but there are others which have been re-introduced, so the race is not going to die out just yet. The second thing is that the hunter who killed the bear was defending himself, as she attacked him in defense of her cub. At least, that's his story. I do believe that he was shooting in self-defense, what I can't understand is that they were hunting there at all, after the hunting society of Urdos had been informed that there was a female bear with a cub in the area. All in all, this whole story is a tragedy, and I do hope that they will succeed in finding the cub before it is too late.
4. What's the weight of the trailer? Is it open or closed? If it's an open trailer, i.e. flatbed, single axle under 500kg you don't have to register it. If it weighs over 500kg and/or obscures the car and has two axles, i.e. like a horse trailer, then you will have to have a seperate carte grise for it. If you are still in doubt, however, you can contact Ifor Williams France on Tél 03 21 47 00 60 and they will advise you.
5. Nope, sorry, don't like the new format. It's slow, difficult to follow, and you don't even have the option to go to certain pages in the replies, i.e. this post has got 5 pages already and I can either go page by page or last page but I cannot jump to page no. 4 . All in all, I consider this change quite unneccessary, and it will mean for me that I won't be reading as much as I used to, as I can't be bothered to traipse through all the replies on different pages.
