My partner was driving my son to school in May and pulled out to over take a very old man driving a very old tractor. With clear vision and no oncoming traffic he was just passing the tractor when the old guy suddenly turned left across his path with out indication, colliding with our car and sent it into a spin and it overturned several times landing on its roof.
In view of the spin and multiple overturning, do you think perhaps that the insurance company/assessor might have decided your partner was driving just a teeny bit fast when he pulled out? -
This may help.http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/overseas/compulsory_equipment.htmlIf vehicle has more than 9 places a fire extinguisher is also compulsory in Spain.A First Aid Kit and protective gloves (for tyre changing) are also a good idea.

I remember being warned, many, many years ago, that Priorité à Droit applies if you are overtaking and the other driver turns into you.
I do not believe this. Who warned you many years ago?
Probably someone I met while hitch hiking. Perhaps I should have said Priorité à Droit may apply. It is to do with deciding who ran into who in the absence of witnesses, and the overtaking driver being responsible for overtaking safely.

In parts if Spain some of the young leaves are thinned out and eaten, before they get hard and spiny. That is, the real leaves, growing from the base of the plant, not the so-called "leaves" of the "fruit", which is actually a flower bud.I was told they can be boiled like cabbage, but have never tried them. They are supposed to be very good for the digestive system, has anyone here tried them?

Be careful about any repair shop you take it to. A friend's lady friend took his old clock to one near Agen. They removed the mechanisms and replaced them with a battery powered movement and hideous electronic chimes which sound like one of those naff doorbells - they did keep the original hands though.
Selling a car in France through eBay

Hi Tony,
I've not sold a car on ebay.fr but I have sold a few in UK and just yesterday in fact I sold my MK1 Golf Cabriolet via that route, although the actual deal was struck privately, thus avoiding the final sale fee. This would have amounted to close on 4% which would have come on top of the initial insertion fee of about £37, and all for a car priced at under £2000, so it's not neccessarily a cheap affair!

Rubbish!
