2. This is NOT the letter you are searching for but it will explain what info you need to submit with your claim.  Hope it helps. regards cajal
3. "Also dividend I thought they were all covered by the french system or can I claim back the tax credit?" If you are a basic rate taxpayer.... no If you are a higher rate taxpayer...yes This will explain the situation for you for 2015. Next year (2016) the system changes to This regards cajal
4. This should offer up some suggestions for you. regards cajal
5. Perhaps this could be a wheeze for that 'silly-cow' in Scotland. regards cajal
6.
"S&P have just the downgraded the EU credit rating"...and the UK's was downgraded earlier... Where is the gain?
For the likes of me & thee Zilch, Nixxy, Nada. For the CRA's there's everything to play for. From back in 2013 In April, Moody's and Standard & Poor's settled the lawsuits for a reported $225 million. Brought by a diverse group of institutional plaintiffs with King County, Washington, and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank taking the lead, the suits accused the ratings agencies of conspiring in the mid-to-late 2000s with Morgan Stanley to fraudulently induce heavy investment into a pair of doomed-to-implode subprime-laden deals, called Cheyne and Rhinebridge. regards cajal
7.
The leaders of both Remain and Brexit seem to have been totally irresponsible in not having a clear plan in case Brexit won, and in both cases leaving the mess they created for others to clear up.
Here is a Brexit tome you can mull over if you haven't already done so. regards cajal
8. Norman Your mates at S&P have just the downgraded the EU credit rating. Suprise Suprise. regards cajal
9. Ah, young people. Apparently lots of young people were sufficiently engaged with the democratic process to push a button on their iPad to give "Remain" a "Like" on Facebook, but couldn't be arrssed to find their nearest polling station, use the pencil provided (or for the conspiracy theorists - take their own pen along) and scrawl an "X" by "Remain". Had they have done so this thread pobably wouldn't have evolved. regards cajal
10. How so, Cajal ? Well, he's managed to demonize drivers of German, Indian and Japanese cars. What the hell is the significance of the car a person drives with how they conduct their lives? He goes on to state that most of these people have never met an immigrant in their lives. Quite a sweeping statement from someone who earlier said they were visiting the UK. Ah, a tourist. I always thought they were the people to seek out if you needed directions whils't on foreign soil not to issue analysis on the general populace way of life? It then appears that they have actually met immigrants and not only met them but they have gainfully employed them. But he then proceeds to demean these immigrants in the tone that they are just builders or fixers and therefore must be cheap labour. That's just the 1st paragraph and I really can't be arrssed justifying the rest. Work it out for yourself. regards cajal
11.
Well done, Paul, you are right; a significant number of those I met drive top of the range Audis, Mercedes, Lexi (?), Range Rovers and Jags. Most have never met an immigrant in their lives except as someone serving them though they may have been happy to employ them as builders and fixers because they work cheap. I have also come across some kids who are furious with their parents for voting Brexit because their futures are *uked because they work in the City; some will lose their jobs, some will follow the company to places like Ireland. Ironically it is the old folk who will experience much more difficult to the beloved grandchildren. I wonder if property prices will drop; the good side of Brexit then because it might enable some younger folk to get on the property ladder instead of having to sell their souls to landlords?
Wow!! You must have a Phd. in prejudice. If you haven't I'd get straight on to it and submit this, along with some of the other stuff youv'e published, as your thesis/dissertation. Scary stuff regards cajal
12. (Quote from Paddy Ashdown) This wouldn't be the same Paddy Ashdown who was going to 'eat his hat' if the Conservatives won the last election. Where do you get this stuff from Norman? regards cajal
13. The irony: Downgrade of France's long-term credit ratingOn November 11, 2011 S&P erroneously announced the cut of France's triple-A rating (AAA). French leaders said that the error was inexcusable and called for even more regulation of private credit rating agencies (CRA's). On January 13, 2012 S&P truly cut France's AAA rating, lowering it to AA+. This was the first time since 1975 that Europe's second-biggest economy, France, had been downgraded to AA+. The same day S&P downgraded the rating of eight other European countries: Austria, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Slovenia, Slovakia and Cyprus. regards cajal
14. S&P?? I assume it will be a different S&P to this one?? regards cajal
15.
You're right, everyone I've spoken too who tells me that they voted for Brexit, put their cross in the Leave box in order to kick the establishment. They didn't have a strong conviction that Brexit would, could or should happen. There are indeed people who voted to leave but have now signed the petition calling for a second EU referendum.
Well, if morons wanted to treat a possible life changing referendum as a 'local by election', then tough breaks. regards cajal
16.
The EU markets are being hammered. SPAINISH IBEX down 10.9% ITALIAN MIB down 11.12% FRENCH CAC 40 down 7.2% GERMAN DAX down 6% Was that supposed to happen ? FTSE is down 2.6 % at the moment but of course the pound is very weak which makes it look better than it is.
Excellent equity buying day ......thank you very much. The FTSE right now is 6200 .... it closed at 5998 last Friday regards cajal
17. DAX, CAC, IBEX, FTSEMIB all being hit, for the moment, far more than the FTSE. regards cajal
18. Nigel Farrage should be congratulated for ensuring democracy is still the bedrock of the British way of life and B Johnson/ T May/ M Gove (I think G Osborne can be ruled out) must negotiate strong and hard to ensure the best possible withdrawl terms from the EU. regards cajal
19. I am always happy to bring enlightment where people are unawares. This link explains all My first thought on viewing the offending poster was the resemblance it had to the Conservatives ( I think????1978) poster stating 'Labours not working'. Never really had much interest in what UKip or Nigel Farrage have to say. However, I think a report of this nature will do more harm and undermine racial harmony than a poster, that this time next week, will be forgotten about. regards cajal
20. So Ed Dorrell (Independant) based his research, analysis and conclusions on this following passage from his article. 'But then, two years ago, I went on a business trip to Qatar in the Middle East.  In one of that city-state's few licensed bars, at two in the morning, I looked around me and saw the future. I saw the globalised world on a postage stamp. And it didn't give two hoots about Britain. In that bar I spotted a scattering of European expats, but most of the drinkers were from the new global powers. They were Chinese, Indian, Arab and Russian. They were not listening to UK or US music; they were listening to African beats and South American pop.' I had  to double check the date to make sure it wasn't April 1st. regards cajal
21. To be honest, Billy Bragg doesn't immediately spring to mind as someone I would foremostly seek out to elicit information.  However I am able to appreciate his sentiments with: "Not all people voting leave are racists, but all racists will vote leave". I wasn't aware of any UKip posters let alone that one had been reported to the police. I always understood that anybody is able to report pretty well anything to the police. Whether they implement proceedings is, I think, up to the CPS. regards cajal
22.
No, Derekj, not all of them, but a significant number, however they hide this under such banners as "We want our country back", "They are taking all our jobs", "Our culture is changing" etc.
Wow... what a responsibility to be a party to that kind of information and statistics. By the way what sort of numbers does this term 'significant' represent? I'm sure others, as myself, are intrigued to know especially with the referendum rapidly approaching. regards cajal
