    Help

Fram Don't you go putting ideas into my head, I already have enough problems.  Actually got some strimming done today. Its the getting started that's the hard one. I did venture over onto another site where others have fled to. I signed up (had to) But will not participate there, as here is plenty enough. How people manage the duel citizenship is beyond me. It takes me all my time to read through what's going on here. The Meluah (sp) debate is ongoing I see. I like the reading of it all. We need more handbags.
  5. Brambles. They always have the last word. They will stick you when you think you have just got the better of them. I have kept some in strategic places as they provide homes for all sorts of wildlife. The rest I have constantly mowed over for the past 6 years. Nice grassy bits now. They do go. I am talking an acre's worth here. You will not disturb the mole too much and like London says there are some great topics on them. Amusing too
  6. Chez. Excuse me for asking, maybe I have missed something here.....what did you print? Anyway I am with the opinion of the nanaman....ebay.
  7. Ahhhhh Brico Depot....forgot about them. What about PVA in say, Bricolage. Do they have it there as I have looked and looked.
  8. Thank you ErnieY, Especially the McVities bit.[:D] I guess I shall have to bumble through. Understanding this whole deal will, I fear never reveal its self to me.
  9. I was a teacher of music. And after being in the army (Brit and American) I can honestly say teaching was the hardest. In my school days it was as some of you here have posted (Ford Anglia). You messed about you got punished, there and then. Smacked caned whatever. You also got more of the same when you got home......if you were daft enough to tell your parents. The first time I taught, as student teacher I could not believe how things had changed, this was in 1990. The emphasis shifted from teacher to student. Teaching any subject that involves movement is especially hard i.e. Drama, Music. On no account can you lay a hand on a student. Right or wrong thems is the rules. There are restraint measures you can resort to, but you had better have a good reason to enforce them. I gave up the job. Tones of unnecessary paperwork and frustrations. I loved the job and was good at it. I liked most of whom I taught. But it wears you down in the end. Many a time I wanted to let fly and believe me I came close. But you have to have that restraint and as Hulk Hogan used to say ''Intestinal Fortitude'' The teacher was wrong in the fact that she let herself down. We all abhor violence I am sure, so even more important to reach inside you and show restraint. I hope you can resolve the situation by discussion. Certainly you must do something. I have been on both sides of the fence as a parent/teacher. My kids were no angels. I would always take the teachers side as children need to know that this will happen all through your life. Situations where you are in the do do for no fault of yours but........no smoke without fire. I cannot tell you the amount of times a pupil from my tutor group would get into trouble, come running to me to get their side of things in first. But I always new that all is not as it appears. You have to listen to both sides, as quickly as possible. I fear to long may have passed now for any satisfactory resolution. Shame.
  10. I don't think you can get an equivalent. There is no PVA. I am hoping other members will prove me wrong as I would love to be able to get it here.

  14. Hi Danny. So a cookie is necessary....but why. Is it a security thing.....who invented them. Why can't you log on to the forum without the thing. I have tried to google the deal but I soon get lost in all the jargon. Why can they not write an explination that starts like this. To Turn on the computer press the.......etc. To use this program you first have to do this and then....It is all so complicated. I understand that for instance windows or apple and probably before them, initiated the point to the picture deal etc. But where all people get bogged down is with the what is simple for some ......terminologies...cookies for instance. For me just to set up a homenetwork, took days of trawling through stuff and in the end I still had to get online help. I cannot even figure how to use my AOL phone yet....Its free I want to use it but for some reason I do not understand how! regards trumpet

Listen to the radio......defiantly no good....as eyes free to wander wander......back to the laptop. Use the excuse 'It's Raining'' It doesn't need to be raining ....Only look as though it is. TV, say no more. Fall out with other forum posters....and then quickly repent. WHAT IS GOING ON? Help before I start playing too many bum notes.
