1.
I have only ever used a dishwasher once, it followed a wedding anniversary and around 400 messy plates etc to be cleaned of curry or lasagne. It had two setting 2 mins or 4. I used 4mins and everything cam out clean and hot. That's the kind of dishwasher i would buy. [;-)]
2. My diabetologue has told me today that as a diabetic type 1 for 49 years I can be put forward for the freestyle libre. But, I have to have some training first so am seeing the diabetic nurse next week for a 1 to 1 session. I'm so looking forward to not jabbing the fingers anymore. Any advice on this is welcome.

Rain

It's so depressing isn't it. After months of cloud and rain we managed about a week of spring like weather - or was that summer? -. I wonder if suicide statistics have been higher than normal.
4.
You really would think they would give you a REDUCTION, on hygiene grounds, for putting a sink in the room with a toilet.
Even a reduction for housing an adult child who has been used to her independence for 5 years!!!!! A health and hygiene hazard too. I think some of you may understand what I mean lol ?
5. We only wish to change the garage door into a front door and Windows. The size of the garage will not change we will just add a small kitchen and bathroom to the existing space. I will visit the maire to ask. Thanks to all for help

Rain

We had a good douse of rain this morning, a fantastic electric storm first. We haven't watered the garden plants this evening but when the sun finally arrived it turned quite warm. Yesterday I was in the pool. The temperature generally seems to change from day to day. I don't think the forecast is very good for this week sadly.
7. Our daughter will be returning after 5 years at uni. We were thinking of changing our garage to a large bedsit for her so she has her own space until she decided what she wants to do. We would change the front from a garage door to a front door and Windows. Do we need a permis for this?
8. My children were brought up to be kind to animals and take care of them. They always have, and now have pets of their own they care for. Still horrible, even if it was children . They need a good slap! Or is it talking to nowadays?
9. OK guys, please give the OP a chance, they only wanted a civilised answer to their question. Chancer, glad to see you back, hope all is well now health wise?
10. Oh how awful for you, to find that at your house. It beggars belief that anyone could do something like that. I love cats (hence my user name).
11. Our CT is due in August but can we get it done in May before the 18th?
12. On form 2042 we have for the last 3 years claimed the unjustifiable amount. In box 6EL. I've looked on the gouv website but can't seem to find the figure we are allowed to claim this year. Can anyone help direct me please to a link? Many thanks

3916 form

Thanks Sue. Yes it was last month. It was the amount in total so nothing left to take. I can't remember even signing up for this pension which I assume was from employment, but that would have been more than 15 years ago. I don't work in France. I must have frozen it when I stopped employment but I don't know if my ex employer also paid into it. No I don't get state pension yet. Thanks for help

3916 form

On this subject this year when I was 60 I took my whole pension in a one off payment. It was less than 5,000£ and I do not have any income. Where would I declare this one off payment please?
15. So for the last 3 weeks I've been getting up at night to let the pup out. Sometimes we've still had accidents and sometimes he only goes when I go outside with him. I generally only get up once as I give last meal at 5 and last trip around the garden is usually after 22.30. He will be 11 weeks old this week. Some say let them cry and don't get up and others say set the alarm probably for at least twice. Last night I got up at 4am and went out with him all he did was a wee. This morning, 2 poos in the crate (it is only a small crate at this stage). I don't mind getting up with him but I'd rather he toileted then than in his crate. He is in a crate at bedtime and moments when I have to go out. He doesn't cry now at bedtime which he was doing. Any tips anyone? Also, the worming pills from the pharmacy are they any good?
16. Forums seem to be fading fast so would someone PM me the new one please? Chancer, I wish you a speedy recovery gaining strength day by day and thank you for help and advice you have previously given me. Bon courage
17. One wonders why threads don't get replies, or even new threads started? ? Just read back on this one and see all the back stabbing and unpleasantness and perhaps that explains. Members may feel they won't bother to post or reply due to some of the unpleasantness. This used to be a very informative forum, but now mostly an argumentative one.
18. I would love a good delivery service. I used to order via Asda and Sainsbury's in days long past in life living in UK. Just doesn't happen here, but hey, were in France and life is very different. Reminds me of UK life some 30 years ago.
19. We journeyed yesterday from Caen onwards to SW France. The first half of the drive was great, sunshine and clear sky. Then approaching Chateauroux it clouded over, had snowed and settled and was continuing to snow quite blizzard like. On the motorway we followed a salt van so spent the next few hours following it but driving safely and slowly. Then we arrived at Limoges and had the usual rain but arrived home slowly and 2 hours later than we should have. Not a great journey but home safe. If we hadn't of been returning home from UK we wouldn't have driven. Today, in the South of England they've been hit by lots of snow. Exactly where we were yesterday morning!
20. Following my cancer treatment, I've been using La Roche Posay baume+ which is designed for sensitive skin. It is unperfumed and although a little expensive it does last a long time as you only need a tiny bit. I use the shower gel and the skin moisturising cream. I've recently bought the shower oil, you can use it in the bath too and it is lovely. All bought from my local pharmacy. They often give me little samples so it might be worth asking. I have very dry, itchy skin that is quite sensitive to most shower gels and creams but it is better with La Roche Posay products.
21. Nothing wrong in an English breakfast, can be done quite healthily with grilled bacon, sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes and good scrambled or poached eggs. Mmm Yummy! Chavs probably have it all fried ? and wags would have fresh fruit and yoghurt, I should think?. Good luck for her project ALBF. No snow for me today but it's now forecast for tomorrow. I'd rather have snow with blue sky than this awful grey and wet we've had for around 2 months.
22. Very well explained, thank you Andy?
23. Sorry Andy, but I disagree. Nature, science, and events involving nature, planets, and animals are fascinating. For me anyway and plenty of others too. The moon and it's cycle involves animals, plants, the sea and humans if you take into account different cultures. I know we wouldn't have seen the red part, but even so! We all have our own interests. What are yours?
24. The blue/red supermoon? Too much cloud and rain here (as usual) for me to see it. I feel robbed!
25. We still haven't had any demand for urssaf payment so not sure what is going on with us.
