After many false starts we will now be moving to France in the new year. We found our house in department 24 and now iam looking to top up my income with doing some part time work. For the last 20 years i have been the senior maintenance engineer for a company looking after leisure centre pool,spa and sauna equipment. So to the point of this post is,are there people requiring a maintenance or service program for their pools or spas,or is the market already saturated with pool companies. Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to give me.

Thanks for every ones views on this subject , as i expected it might be hard to set up a business dealing with pools. But as this will not be the main income for us , i think it is worth trying with a small amount of clients to start with and then see how it progresses. One thing i do know hard work is the key.

Hi folks, has anyone tried hypnosis to help them to learn french, i have seen it advertised on the web and was wondering if it was worth a try or just a con.

Can anyone please tell me if the game of pool is popular in the south west , or is it just a teenagers pass time.

[:D] Hi to all  who read this, first thanks for taking the time. Yes we are another couple moving to the south west of France [unusual you all shout] but please bear with us. We are looking for property up-to 350000e with the obligatory dependencies . But before i hear more groans of not more virgin gite owners we hope to offer a lot more. J is a qualified beauty therapist who is looking forward to setting up her own business .M is an engineer with 15 years experience of the leisure industry, which included all aspects of pools, spas, saunas and steam rooms. At the moment we are looking around the Bordeaux,Duras and Sarlat area , really enjoyed travelling around the area but was unable to find what we want. So if you can help or point us in the right direction we would be in your debt, or at least buy you a drink.
