1.
Mayenne What sites are those?
ebay etc
2. J.R The best way to check current going rates is on the online auction sites -I will ask my friend, but of course condition and who's looking dictate values too. He is converting his current Lotus to LHD, makes it more valuble across here...
3.
Thanks SD I had assumed that I would have to put my 1972 Lotus Elan on CGC when I finally unearth and restore it, do you think that there is a possibility of registering it normally then?
JR - a friend of mine locally is a LOTUS man, he has already done one of his 'Loti' and has another to do shortly. Regarding Conformity certs etc, not available for our older cars, so the 'collection' route is the best, plus the larger engined, higher horsepower cars wont pay as much registration tax, Jamie
4. Andrew After your comments I have been looking around and do you have any opion for "HTH CHLORE ACTION 5 spécial liner" tablets? A little more liner friendly than standard HTH Chlore....your thoughts? regards Jamie
5. Okay, I have PM'd you. thanks, Jamie
6. Hello Andrew Well that is very interesting and good news, as their Chemicals are very expensive. And, the funny thing is, even though they state that no Chlorine products can be used, the 'blocks' they provide for the skimmers smell like a Chlorine tablet! When you say Javel, is that like the ordinary Supermarket Javel (bleach) or a stronger concentrate - I seem to remember that the store ones are around 2-3% sodium hypochlorite. I do check and maintain my PH +/- regularly. Where do you normally obtain the Acide Trichlorocynurate from? thanks for your advice so far.. Jamie
7. My local village is having a ST George's Day celebration - all for the local school. Lots of fun and activities planned, including local Morris Dancing! http://www.jcwebdesigns.co.uk/morris/
8. I dont mind saying it is Waterair - not some small company by any means, and I  WOUNDN'T recommend them. So, chlorine and liners....the risks??
9.
How mach Javel is enough to choc a pool? Well in a 10 x 5, I have been known to use a whole 20 litre drum (9.6%) as I wanted 10PPM to clean up a particularly nasty situation. If its not so bad, maybe half that. Good idea to dilute it 50: 50 before adding, and pour it in away from the liner to avoid repercussions on the liner.
Hello Andrew I had a pool installed last summer, and the manufacturer states that to keep the warranty valid for the liner, I must use their chemicals - they are non-chlorine based (apparently), and my question is, does chlorine affect liners and if so, at what strength would the ppm have to be to do such damage (fading I guess?)? Jamie
10. Hello Any classic car owners out there, with a french registered car under the 'collection' Carte Grise, do you know if the restrictions on leaving adjoining departmenst has been lifted? I had heard it was being relaxed from January this year.
