We have a new girlie arriving beginning of April, she is G119 from Rowan's SPA Carcassonne site, now we have to think of another name

You're so right Judie but when they go young, you feel so cheated as well. Big hugs to you

Another Loss

We unexpectedly lost our fawn Dane girlie on Thursday, she had suspected DCM and was due to have an echo graph on Friday to confirm it but collapsed Thursday morning, she couldn't stand without us supporting her with a towel, so we made the sad decision to have her pts. Run free our darling Petal
5.
SIX? I should be so lucky! Thanks anyway...maybe you know someone who would like to adopt....
I keep saying "No more dogs" [:)], although my old girllie is very frail now so I might be down to 5 soon [:(]
6. I will always be grateful to you Rowan for rescuing her, she is a little sweetie, a bit thick at times, but that adds to her personality
7. OMG I'm crying now as there are 3 girlies on there I would love to give a home to but I already have 6 [:(] G115 EE349 G119
8. Rowan knew what I meant [:)] I didn't know how to phrase it properly and I asked because there is a Beagle cross girlie on the urgent list at my local SPA, her date of birth is down as 6 but she looks a lot older than that. p/s for Rowan little Bella is nicknamed Bella Buddha because she has got fat [:$], she spends her time snuggled up on the sofa with my old girl Sasha
9. When the SPA state the date of birth of a dog, is that the age it was possibly tattooed/chipped when it arrived there ?
10. Thanks everybody I'm going to ask Ford UK for one
11. It was the insurance company I phoned to get a quote from.
12. I've been told I need to get the C of C from Ford France and not Ford UK and to go to their website, but can't see anything on their website where I can apply for it, any help would be appreciated.
13. 14. Don't go worrying Rowan, Bella is going no where [:D]
15. Wish it was that simple Nick, but one side of the house has a road ditch along it and the traffic belts down the road and another side of the house doesn't have a flat enough surface to put a ladder up it, also it's so tall I won't let my husband go up a ladder A cherry picker seems the safest way of doing the work
16. We've got to replace some tiles on the roof, would it be best to use scaffolding or a cherry picker and how easy is it to hire a cherry picker. I know I need to get permission from the mayor to work on the road side but where do I get the cones and road signs to warn the mad drivers who use our hill as a racing track.
17. You could try Daneline, I used to homecheck and foster for them when I lived in the UK and know they have connections with Spain
18. It was just be chance Diana/Bella came to me, all because I sent an updated photo to Pheonix, she is a little sweetheart, still nervous of things and terrified of "French" voices but I only have one neighbour and he's not really close to me. Her cheeky personality is coming out now and she has settled in so well with the Danes, she quietly and without any fuss took over Fina's cage and does what I call the tap dance for walks and biscuits. I'll post a photo when Photobucket will let me get in to it
19. I tried to adopt from a French Dane rescue a few years ago, they always had an excuse for not sending a home checker, afraid I gave up after a while
20. Sorry not been on for a while. Well I've got another rescue, still trying to work out how it happened. She came from Sue at Poor Paws via Pheonix, some may have seen her on the site, the Porcelaine Hound, previously she was called Diana but is now Bella and what a little darling she is. I can only be amazed how these poor animals spend years being abused by us humans and still have plenty of love to give back to us. So that's me back up to 5 dogs so no more looking at the rescue sites.
21. I was warned not to buy from flea bay as the cards are being de-activated after a while.
22. Thank you all, I had read so many things I was starting to get gaga and replacing the card would be a lot cheaper than buying a Freesat box. When I pay for the new white card is that where I add a different UK address as my original blue card came from somewhere in the Midlands ?
23. I am getting really confused about Sky Cards and Freesat boxes. I bought my sky digibox, dish, cables and blue viewing card as a complete package over 5 years ago and now apparently I need to change the blue card for a new white one, but as I understand it even though I can use a UK address for a new card I can't activate it because it will be over here. I'm now looking at getting a Freesat box instead, so will it be easy to install with my existing cables and dish and does it matter that it will be used in France and not the UK. I don't understand all the technical jargon about these things, so please could somebody explain in idiot proof language [:D]
24. That would be a good idea except a lorry would not get through my gates and as the area is differcults to work in, OH is going to do it in stages
