3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Hfmaar81jc&feature=player_embedded worth a watch - I love his closing statement
4. Whether you like him or not he does make a lot of sense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMf_KwQ2Xlk&feature=player_embedded#at=15
5. Have these people never heard of "Self-fullfilling Prophesies" The financial world has gone quite mad.
6. I can't help thinking that the 'Iceland' solution was the way forward on this and something that should have been followed throughout Europe. Let the banks fail, imprison the perpetrators and look after your citizens. http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2013/03/2013318113350919558.html
7. No one is going to kill off the M/C section Sid.
8. We've tried them all and always go back to Brittany Ferries. They are the best.
9. It didn't take long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=K5R2JyU_MKg
10. You couldn't make it up Krusty - lies & more lies.
11. What I find quite incredible is that some overpaid (presumably intelligent) faceless fuck in the Bundestat took this decision clearly based on his own agenda (dealing a blow to russian money launderers) without seemingly, any thought to the implications to all the other ordinary savers. I'm just an normal bloke with no great knowledge of money-markets and, like thousands of others, it was pretty obvious to me that the sh1t was going to hit the fan. Maybe the time has come for everyone to take their savings out of banks and bring these corrupt arseholes to their knees. With interest rates as they are there is virtually nothing to lose by doing this.
12. Interesting quote: "So the only way to get the bailout through the Bundestag is for the launderers to be taxed to the tune of almost 10% of their allegedly ill-gotten cash. And if innocent savers are hurt too, that is the way this particular "Keks" will crumble."
13. What ill thought out logic by the Bundestag. Will they be surprised, or even care that come Tuesday there will be such a run on the banks as ordinary savers remove all their savings, not just in Cyprus either but everywhere within the euro-zone. Total fucking idiots. Interesting slant on this by Robert Peston http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21812853 "So the only way to get the bailout through the Bundestag is for the launderers to be taxed to the tune of almost 10% of their allegedly ill-gotten cash. And if innocent savers are hurt too, that is the way this particular "Keks" will crumble." Sums it up really, they don't give a fuck about us. .
14. In 87 look out for BLACK, RENAULT MEGANE, Reg.No. CG 792 AV
15. Well, we couldn't bring ourselves to take her to the marie and we now have a happy ending. We have, thanks to Sue and the Hope Association, found a new home for this lovely dog. A big thank you to everyone who has tried to help with this, you are amazing people.
16. As another Go Pro user that is a cool video.
17. Ian there is no apparent logic to it as sometimes the numbers on the V5 are accepted and sometimes not. If you can persuade the prefecture to actually type the numbers in you may be lucky. As AnOther has said, it really is a case of suck it and see. Good luck
18.
How about scrapping the working with wood and motorcycling sections and starting an animal rescue one???? Before anyone goes on the defensive I enjoy the postings from both those sections and have started subjects myself but they are very thin on the ground now that the original protagonists have departed. The postings could equally be made elsewhere.
Interesting choice 'Chancer' and without me going on the defensive [:P] -  do the maths Post counts. Motorcycling - 4597 Working with Wood - 2806 Books & Lit. - 2042 French Antiques - 760 Getting Married - 245 Pregnancy & Birth - 161 Book Club - 3
19.
Maybe the members are too old and short tempered, and dying off too fast [:D]
Specsavers could could certainly help some maybe [:P][8-)]
20. It wasn't a general comment Betty it was aimed at the OP specifically as an option. The same option that all members have to any post on any forum - if you don't like it, don't read it. As for biting peoples heads off - I must have missed that.
21. If you seriously want the posts to improve, rather than being an "occasional visitor" making "the odd post", get off your hands and start new discussions. The forum IS quiet compared to the halcyon days we enjoyed in the past - people move on - new people come in, its the nature of the beast. I started the Motorcycling section a few years ago and that has gone quite well, why not do something similar on your own particular interests ? I'm guessing that won't be animal rescue LOL .
22.
Anyway, they have wrecked this part of the forum, which I used to find very useful. Can they be stopped, or perhaps they can all be put within a single post?
Hey, for goodness sake. All those posts, as far as I can see, are genuine. Just dedicated people trying to help animals into a better environment. You've made 47 posts since 2007, so not exactly a great contributor. If you don't like it - don't read the posts - simple. [:@]
23. It is a little known fact that the French Navy has for many years had a motto, the mere mention of which excites its hot-blooded members to combat and conquest. In English it is "To the water; it is time". In the original French, however, it reads: "A l'eau; c'est l'heure". Try saying that in an Hello hello accent
24. Summed it up perfectly Sid, its OK as a place to ride to/meet up but not a great deal to look at. That said, if you're hunting for parts for older bikes you have a good chance of finding the bits you want. A few of us Tourdregs Club Moto members are going, weather permitting, of course.
