  1. [:)]I have a registered micro-enterprise offering mini-digger services - drainage, landscaping etc. In the course of my travels I am often asked by clients if I would be willing to undertake other work on their property - painting and decorating, sorting out the gutters, plumbing in a sink etc etc. The sort of thing that in the UK would have them looking in the phone book under "handyman". Now I know that with the French obsession for specialisation (where to get a kitchen fitted you need devis from plumber, electrician, carpenter, tiler, plasterer etc etc), there is no real understanding over here of the phrases "odd-jobber" or "handyman". At least that was the response when I asked my insurance company (Groupama), with whom I have the mini-digger insured, if they did any sort of insurance that would cover me against 3rd party or accident claims for doing such work. In point of fact, whilst I am insured for working using the machine, I also need to do a fair amount of work by hand etc., for which I suspect I could also do with a seperate insurance. Does anybody have any advice to offer or suggestions of avenues to explore. Be gentle!
