  1. Apologies for all the 'gobbledegook' accompanying my post - not sure how I managed that!
  2. We are holidaying at a Siblu site and have been asked to fill in a police form before arrival.    The information provided by Siblu is: 'As a foreigner in France, you need to fill in the individual police form. To ensure the security of your entire family we need to know the identity of each member. In order to facilitate your check in, we recommend that you  download and fill in the pdf of the individual police form.' ...and... 'This information is required under French law for non French nationals.' We have stayed at many holiday parcs in France over the years and have never been asked to complete such a form; is it new legislation?
  3. Time you kept your opinions to yourself....
  4. Hello everyone :) We are looking for a property to rent in August.  I know we are asking for a lot, but might as well start with the 'wish list' and hope for the best: Morbihan 14 nights 6 people (4 Adults, 1 Teen, 1 8yr old) Min 3 bedrooms (pref 4 to preserve our sanity) Within easy walking distance of the sea Plenty to occupy a teenager Do you rent out/know of such a property? Joanne :)
  5. Help!  I know we've left it late but that couldn't be helped.  Looking for 2 week rental in August.  2 adults 2 children.  2 bedrooms.  Walking distance to sandy beach with rocks. Pref on south west coast.  Can anyone help, please?
  6. Wow! I'm amazed by the quantity/quality of all your replies - thank you very much for taking the time.
  7. Hello, we are driving to a ski resort in Lorraine for Christmas.  We would be grateful for any advice regarding the use of/need for winter tyres and/or snow chains [8-)]
  8. Thanks for the ideas - lots to think about! :)
  9. My family (6) would like to spend the Christmas holiday in France - hopefully in the snow.  Never done it before.  Skiing not required!  In/within easy walking distance to village/town.  Any ideas?
  10. We are travelling this route in the summer with 2 children.  Can anyone recommend an aire near Le Mans? Is there a website that gives information on the facilities at particular aire's?

    Stop Overs

Help! We are a family of 4 who will be travelling from the La Rochelle area in the general direction of Le Havre on Sat 22 Aug. It would be a great end to our holiday to find a nice B&B en route (preferably with a pool but I know I've left it too late to be that fussy!). The idea being that we can arrive at/after lunch to relax/maybe have a nice walk and enjoy an evening meal before heading straight to the ferry on Sun 23. So I would think anywhere in the region of Angers, Saumur, Le Mans, Tours. Do you have suitable acommodation available/Can you recommend somewhere?
  12. [:D]Can anyone suggest a good location for two holidaying families to meet up?  We will be in St-Jean-De-Monts and our friends are in La Rochelle.  St Vincent-sur-Jard looks like it would be equal mileages but will it occupy 4 active 2-8 yr olds?  If no suitable coastal location, an interesting town with nice park and play area etc., would be good.
