The vast majority of these vans are builders from the UK working for cash, but how many of these vans have got upto date english road tax not that many iv seen, now to me that is taking the micheal, as for quotes well , dick turnpin would av been proud, 50mtrs of roof to strip an replace to me about a weeks work , i know to be registered is france is not cheap but he wanted 3000 euros labour now you tell me that is cheap ? well end of day i done both sides for the cost of what he want for the slates, plus i did want to get registered it was hard so thought will leave it for now, then you come on here people asking i need say plasterer , then people are saying if you can get one in a week he must be no good well thanks for that i was just starting out an didnt want to work on the black , so stayed in uk anyway will go an help my mate cos that is what i do , bon chance to anyone trying to make a living in france x sorry about the spellin an grammer but thats me
  2. hi , no been to busy here so just using france for holidays , will, why would you need insurance for plastering if it falls of then you do it again free of charge if it was your fault ? well i would, but have i have seen some plastering out in france by english builders lol, as the saying goes steve wonder would love to see it , that is where i come in with my mate he know my standard of work , an i need a change of scenery , sorry about the grammer x

  6. hi all , there alot of people writin on here , just want to ask did any of your  family fight in ww2 ? as iv posted here before i have my father was 21 an taken pow in1940 he knew they were beaten  when the germans broke though the ardennnes, but he had to do hes best, the french knew the same an were helping the germans to zero in on our blokes, but my dad did say that a german did save hes life because he tryed to escape an he got picked up try to cross the river elbe,an they wanted to shot him but the german was young boy in ww1 an the tommies usd to give him sweets, my dad did say the poles were good to them , i think at the end of the day you have to do what you feel is right at the time, we will never see a ww1 or ww2 ,we should be thankful to the likes of my dad an the brave souls who never came back

  10. hi all hope ok to post this here? my father was taken prisoner in may 1940 at a place called zuytpeene france, he was with the 2nd glosters, as i cant read or speak french was wondering if there was anyone out there who lives in or near the place who might no abit about what my dad went though, he did write me an account, an said out of hundred an 64 men that went to zuytpeene only 38 were taken prisoner, hope someone out there may be able to help ? if you need more info let me know , many thanks.   11.    Hi your hubby will need 6 years proof he was a plasterer from company or person he work for, you can do this yourself, i went on 3 day course was a waste of time, not sure if you still have to do it now,mine was in domfont, i went to laval to see c an m they told me to go to prefecture all he said  was to  get letter to prove you been spread for 6 years, then get it translated to french, i thought can"t be bothered so now working in uk, will have another go at some point, all the best paul

  13.    Hi not a wind up was just asking if it can be done, I drive to for a living and go to calais at least twice a week, Can't see the big problem was just asking a question, sorry about punctuations have I done right this time ? will I get an answer,  I only want YES or NO, many thanks x 
  14. hi all first time on here so bear with me iv got bank account with cred mutuel in northwest france as im in uk was wondering if i can put money in cred mutuel in calias am sure would be easer than bank transfers an dont mind ferry trips for the cheap stuff any info would be nice many thanks paul
